A big night!

Saturday 10th November was a big night for Emily and all who took part in the first performance of her production of Fragments.

Most of the Minehead Community Orchestra played, together with guest musicians and leader Mary Eade, conducted by Nigel Perrin.  It was an amazing experience playing with the polished Festival Choir and the lovely baritone Jamie Rock.

The music came to life and was very exciting, very moving and emotional, especially the song for the conscientious objectors ‘The Knock on the Door’ sung by Tim Pettigrew.

Thank you to all who took part and made the production so memorable but most of all Emily who portrayed the true feelings of the ordinary men and women during the First World War with this wonderful composition.
