The Minehead Community Orchestra was founded in 2012 by David Pitts when it was known as The Alcombers Orchestra.

We rehearse at  The Old Hospital, Minehead fortnightly on Wednesday evenings in the Exmoor Room at 7pm for 7.20 start.  We are always looking for new members particularly strings, if you play to grade 4 standard, please get in touch here.

The Team

  • Administrator: Anne Gibson
  • Honorary Treasurer: Bronwen Hodges

Covid-19 Arrangements

It seems the only way forward at the moment is to form small ensembles, meeting in well ventilated rooms with enough space to social distance.

So far we have a String Quartet, a Wind Quartet and a Piano Trio up and running, meeting at each others homes.

The subscription per term is £20 but suspended at the moment.

Interested in joining us?

Please contact us, we will be very pleased to hear from you.

We hope to get back to our comfortable base in the Exmoor Room, The Old Hospital, Minehead sometime next year.
